Eliston

With a soaring 16m high play tower, Oak Park in Clyde is a popular attraction for the residents of Eliston as well as the broader community. The custom-designed vertical play experience creates a striking centrepoint to the precinct and accommodates a wide variety of play activities. Across the large central lawn from the playground and picnic facilities sits a sports area that provides opportunities for skating, outdoor gym workouts, basketball and tennis practice. An orchard and community garden located near the adjoining medium density site have been included to reference the site’s recent market garden history. Subtle references have been made throughout the design with regard to the last commercial crop of celery harvested on the site.
